Welcome to the Rivier University Office of Information Technology (OIT). Our mission is to provide the students of Rivier University the technology tools they need to achieve the highest quality education available. The OIT provides campus wide technology solutions for faculty, staff, and students. From E-mail and Internet access, to the Academic Computer Center, members of the Rivier University community have available to them the latest in software and hardware for academic and administrative purposes. Academic Computer Center

The Office of Information Technology is located in Sylvia Trottier Hall, room 106. Office hours are M-F 8:30am-5:00pm. You can contact IT Support at 603-897-8469 or

In order to access the University's technology resources, faculty, staff, and students are required to obtain a user account by filling out the Online Computer Account Request form. Alternatively, you may download and print the Computer Use Policy Form (PDF) and bring it to the Office of Information Technology in Sylvia Trottier Hall. Once the form is received we will provide you with a username and password that will allow you to access the University’s network.

The Office of Information Technology makes available to faculty, staff, and students a wide range of academic and professional services.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 provides e-mail services for the Campus bringing the university industry standard compatibility. This means that no matter what email program you prefer to use: Outlook, Outlook Express, Outlook Web Access, Netscape Messenger, can stay in touch with the world.

The Training Center provides a core collection of tutorials for the Microsoft Family of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access. A few tutorials have been added for Windows and Internet Explorer. These tutorials may be printed for personal use or copied for classroom use.

Through a Microsoft Campus-wide licensing agreement, the OIT can make many of Microsoft's latest products available to faculty, staff, and students at a substantial discount.

By partnering with Dell Computer Corporation and Microsoft, Rivier University is able to provide up-to-date technology in the Academic Computer Center, Electronic Classrooms, dormitories, and offices across campus. Additionally, a quad T-1 connection to the internet offers high speed web access.
