Rivier University has appointed Dr. Susan Langlois as its new Dean of the Division of Arts and Sciences. She is a strong and welcome addition to the Rivier University academic community.”

Prior to joining Rivier, Dr. Langlois served as the Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Services at Marian Court College where she acted as the chief academic officer and primary author on the institution’s NEASC accreditation self-study, and she instituted online peer-tutoring programs and a comprehensive evaluation instrument for student learning outcomes. Her distinguished career also includes key administrative and faculty appointments at Springfield College, Endicott College and Elms College.

“The University is fortunate to have the benefit of Dr. Langlois’ experience and collaborative spirit,” says Dr. Douglas Howard, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “As the University continues to expand its programs and online offerings, engaging a broader range of students, her focus on curricula and academic services that support positive, measurable student outcomes is invaluable.”

Her doctoral work includes the multidisciplinary areas of exercise physiology, motor learning, biomechanics, and the social science components of sport philosophy, sociology and psychology.
