Rivier University named a College of Distinction for fourth consecutive year
Rivier University has been named a 2014-2015 College of Distinction, joining select colleges and universities across the country recognized as student-centered educational institutions with accomplished faculty that excel at engaging students, fostering vibrant communities, and producing successful outcomes. This is the fourth year the University has received this designation. Rivier is one of only two New Hampshire colleges named a 2014-2015 College of Distinction.
“This distinction recognizes the exceptional educational experience Rivier provides to students,” says Vice President for Enrollment Management Karen Schedin. “It is an honor to be named among this list of respected colleges and universities.”
The Colleges of Distinction program is sponsored by Student Horizons, Inc., an organization which serves as a resource for high school students, parents, guidance counselors, and other education professionals who help students meet their educational goals.
According to the Colleges of Distinction website, a College of distinction is “Nationally recognized by education professionals as an excellent school, strongly focused on teaching undergraduates, home to a wide variety of innovative learning experiences, an active campus with many opportunities for personal development, and highly valued by graduate schools and employers for its outstanding preparation.”
Rivier has also been named a Military Friendly School by GI Jobs magazine and is a designated Yellow Ribbon school by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
